172 Miles To Go

(Please view original size)

At this point, I have 172 miles to reach the next town called Port Hardy, at the very north end of Vancouver Island.
Nothing but two lanes and trees.
No buildings. No houses. Just quiet driving.
Not a bad office location if you ask me.
And, oh yeah! Do NOT run out of gas or break down here!!!!

A fine composition capturing a beautiful scene ... such a contrast to our weather down-under! ~V~

Looks icy!!! Wishing you a safe trip! This is a lovely winter scene (at least when you are not the one driving!)

I love this part of the drive north but perhaps without the white stuff. Great winterscape

I am glad it was you driving and not me Brian, I will just stick with the rain, well captured and be careful that road is not one to take chances with....

Love that feeling of solitude. I'd thought that the new Island Highway was four-laned all the way to Port Hardy - obviously I'm wrong.
Happy Holidays to you, Brian.

I know that kind of drive well, and actually enjoy the sense of isolation. Beautiful.

Nice wintermood Brian. Snow, low light, no people around... very similar to the norhern part of Norway. And you always need to bring a sleeping bag and extra gas just in case.
