This artwork is beside the font.It depicts The Nativity,here at St.Margaret's,the people in the painting are all local to Stanford Rivers.It was painted by Fyffe Christie,the eminent SCOTTISH artist,in 1961.Appparently,his sister was then the Vicar's wife.I am assured by some parishioners that it,merely,covers a damp patch on the wall,but they were fiercely proud of it,nonetheless.The figures in the painting are life size.
