A couple of years ago I took my young friend, Savanna to the San Francisco Ballet at Christmastime. As we were walking to the Opera House she kept pointing and asking, “What are those?”

It took me a bit to figure out what she was pointing at...parking meters. Things we take for granted a young girl from a small mountain town finds most interesting, to satisfy her curiosity we fed a few coins into the meter. I like to think we saved someone from a far greater investment in a holiday trip to the city.
