Memorandum - That upon or about the latter end of the month of April 1657 Thomas Boyte late of Woodcutts in the parish of Handley in the county of Dorset yeoman ?? whilst he lived (??) upon or about the tyme? ? written ? then of perfect mind and memory with an intent to make his will and ? his estate (difficult to read the next few words) to the same effects ?? gave and bequeath all my goods and personal estate whatever to my ? wife Jane Boyte she have - the rest is difficult to read but it doesn't name anyone else……
The second day of October in the year of our Lord 1657 - it is quite difficult to make out all the words but it says that all Thomas Boyte's estate is given to his relict (his widow) as mentioned in his will.

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia, Woodcutts is a hamlet within the parish of Sixpenny Handley and is located in the north of Dorset, near to the Wiltshire border.
It lies within the Cranborne Chase an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and much of the land and several of the properties in the area belongs to the Rushmore Estate. The estate formerly belonged to Pitt Rivers a noted archaeologist of the 19th century. Woodcutts includes the site of a Romano-British settlement excavated in the 1890s.
