Not exactly an astrophoto, this image shows a rare occurrence of the aurora, or "Northern Lights" from the southeast suburbs of Kansas City, MO. Only the second time in my life that I've seen aurora at this latitude. By the time I heard about this event and got the camera set up, the aurora was much less intense than it had been earlier in the evening.
