WOW!
Heard footsteps running down the hall when I got home from work Monday.
I always hear that but there was a sense of urgency in these steps.
Then the "daddy,daddy, look!!
Patrick brought me a red certificate made from construction paper.
He proudly stuck it out and into my face (upside down)
That look they get can't be described , as those of you with kids know.
"I learned to tie my shoe, let me show you."
He couldn't get mine untied so I did it for him and pulled out the old iphone.
It took him 3 tries , and about 3 minutes, but do you think I rushed it.
NO I'm finally learning treasure the moment!!!
He held it up proudly and said "next I'll learn to untie it."
My worst technical shots always turn out to be my best pad's
The moral is they have a major milestone every week or two at this age.
Sometimes it's hard to remember what it was like to tie my first shoe, ride my first bike
whistle for the first time, burp, swallow that first pill , lose that first tooth............
I just try hard to remember even though its my 3rd time one of my kids learned to tie his shoe,it's his first.
