It was Saturday, and Port Louis - just across the harbour - was having its Market Day. The town square was given over to booths and stalls where people were selling their produce and other things.


Our plan was to do some shopping at the Market for our supper, have lunch with Pierrette's mother and walk around Port Louis a bit.


One stall really caught Mona and my attention - the cheese van. The French have so much cheese! and so much variety! and so much to choose from! The salesman was really great - he kept giving out samples that were about the same size as what we might BUY at hone in Canada. It was meal unto itself!


We did buy some, though, and enjoyed th3e cheese for at least a couple of days. You'll see his cheese again.....
