The Trial of Aaron Burr for treason. He was found not guilty but his troubles had not ended. His beautiful daughter, Theodosia (inset), set sail from South Carolina to visit her father in New York. Theodosia was the wife of South Carolina Governor Joseph Alston. Her ship disappeared and so did she. The Alston-Willcox connection reaches all the way to Telfair County. (See article.)
