12 NOV 07 HELP!!

I took this card out of the camera ostensibly without turning it off
Apparently it is corrupted
I took it to a computer store & they could not recover any files
Cost $45 for NO product or files

I don't see how the camera could have still been on when the card is housed in the battery compartment
So it HAD to be off when I retrieved the card . . . . moot point, I know

Where do I go?
What do I do now??

Canon PowerShot S5 IS
1s f/4.0 at 6.0mm iso200 full exif

other sizes: small medium original auto

I have an extra CD of sandisk rescue pro that I can put in the mail to you....; or, if you can download the program at the sandisk site, I can email you the activation code. I think that will work.

Larry's right, I accidentally erased a card one time. I used photorescuehttp://www.datarescue.com/photorescue and it found stuff from ages back. You download the demo (free) to see if anything is recoverable. Only then do you need to pay to get the full version which will recover the images. It's $29. Nothing to lose... Good luck!

Good for Liza. I have no ideas on how to help, except maybe the card just died. They do that you know. What a bummer.

Send me your email and I will send you a little program to try. I would like to think the robbers at the computer store tried it but they might not have. Don't despair... we'll try to get you something.
