Sorting out a computer problem for a friend, I took along my camera to try and get a shot of her mongrel dog she got from the local refuge. The shot was taken on the stairs in almost total darkness using an off camera flash to camera left (I have the owner holding the flash in her hand and that's why the dog is looking in the direction she is). The stair carpet was lightish blue which I found a bit distracting in the original so I desaturated and darkened the blue in the shot. I did the same to the red collar - so it's half b&w but only in the unimportant details.
