The Brownie 127 Model 2 was manufactured in the UK and sold between 1959 and 1963. It takes 8 pictures 1 5/8 X 2 1/2 inches on 127 roll film. It has a fixed shutter speed of 1/50th and a fixed aperture of f/11. The lens is plastic and the film plane is curved, presumably to minimise distortion from the cheap lens.
None of this was of any interest to me, because I was only five when I received this camera from my parents as a birthday present. It was my very first camera, and I used it until I was about 14, by which time I was discovering its shortcomings. I remember trying unsuccessfully to photograph a blowfly by taping the lens from my magnifying glass to the front of the camera!
