Old jug + new light tent = negative space

An artist friend of mine, when asked
'what is negative space?' said that
if you can draw the space the object
naturally appears - a simplistic
answer and I THINK I now understand....

This is closer to what I think of as N.S. Kinda like the Vase-Face Illusion from perceptual psychology.
