Today Nov. 1st, 2007 was the big celebration on the Gulf Coast between Biloxi and Ocean Spring for the opening of the HWY 90 bridge. The old bridge was knocked out by Hurricane Katrina in 2005 and just over two year later, the new bridge is opened. When we passed on the train bridge just to the north of the bridge, there was a large number of buses on the bridge and these two sailboats were sailing around the bridge. Thousands of motorcycles were waiting to have a parade across and followed by old time cars and fireworks at 7:00 followed by the real opening of the bridge to the public.
