Happy Meow-loween!

Not as scary looking as the first time you met her, wouldn't you agree? She seems to be healing up quite well. The hair is growing in around her eye and on her belly. On Tuesday the 30th she goes back to the vet to get her stitches out.

Hope everyone has a spooky but safe halloween.

What a heartwarming story. Zoey is beautiful! She's a lucky girl to have found such kind people to take care of her. Though I'm sure you feel lucky too, to have such a special cat. :)

The nicest Halloween "treat" you could have given us -- an image of Zoey, all healed and happy and beautiful!

We rescued two kittens about the first of June. They were about 3 weeks old and had been without a momma for 3-5 days. We had to bottle feed and help them go to the bathroom. So I know what you've been going thru. Unfortunately, only one kitten survived, but we love him like crazy. He is very much a part of out family. It is hard work to adopt a medically challenged pet, and thank you for taking care of this one.

That was such an awesome story and Zoey is a lucky little kitten and so are you for having three beautiful cats. :-) Thanks for documenting all of this.

What a cutie! Our 4 year old Buster had to have his right eye out last monday due to a run in with an owl. I felt terrible at first, but have been so encouraged by all the positive stories of one eyed cats (and kittens!) I'm happy that Zoey found you - I know that God put her in the right place at the right time so she could be loved and taken care of. Bless You!

What a truly inspiring story. I have rescued cats including some very sick kittens, just like Zoey. I also have a one-eyed cat who fought really hard to survive. We rescued her along with her 2 sisters when they were only a few days old with no mommy. One of her sisters died when she was about 2 weeks old and her other sister never seemed to be seriously ill. She had to go to the vets for 8 months on the trot! However, she is totally blind now because she had cat flu when she was born. Our vet she had the 'body of a kitten but the heart of a lion'. She had one of her eyes taken out when she was about 6 months old because it was very infected and bleeding. She just turned 2 this months and she is very happy and healthy. I love reading stories like this. You and your hubby are very special people. I have favorited this site and and going to check in on Zoey all the time :)

I am delighted to see how well Zoey is doing! She looks adorable in the Halloween picture. Who cares about the missing eye? She's gorgeous just as she is. Purrs to you from California.
