This sunset wrapped up day five of the Santiago Canyon Fire.
Though yesterday morning found the fire 50% contained, flair-ups dropped that figure to 30%.
Believe it or not the sky in this photo looks good (though experts say there are still over 100 health threatening chemicals lingering).
Gone now are the thick billowing smoke clouds that 48 hours earlier didn’t allow me to see those trees off in the distance.
This is due to the fact that the actual flames are now heading east.
As for the wild animals affected by the fires?
We now have 4 coyotes taking up residency in our community.
They sit around seeming less afraid of humans than they are the fires.
