It is custom before the advent of the Buddhist New year, for young people to gather and play games, let it all out and be festive, every evening. Wherever I went that week, you could see after dusk a bunch of youngster and not so young playing games with the sound of laughter and shrieks testifying to the good times all had in the spirit of togetherness.
