Card Players
Fengjing, China September 2007

These people were, for the most part, quite comfortable with photographers standing around intruding on their game. (As an interesting sidelight, I was searching for information about Fengjing and found a gallery from 2005 at another web picture site - here is an image of card players from that gallery, http://travel.webshots.com/photo/1509829147051401542syBmgI , some of them are the same players.

Amazing. One and one half billion people in China yet somehow the same card players wind up on two different websites. If you count my galleries as a site, make it three:http://www.pbase.com/image/86307165
Each of us tell a different story, however. You build your image around the cards themselves by taking a high vantage point and shooting down. I got down at the table itself to stress the expressions and thrust of the man's arm.
