The other side of the road from where the last photo posted was shot indicates how severe the drought is that is striking the northeastern US. Just like our neighbors to the southeast and southwest, we've experienced a significant drop in precipitation this summer. Apparently it all went to the middle portion of the US, which saw equally significant flooding. This is Stillwater Reservoir. Other portions are completely dry, as are other regional reservoirs, such as Hinkley.
