"Lillian C. Myers, formerly of Hatfield, passed away Saturday, March 26, 2011, in Grand View Hospital. SHe was 81.

She was the wife of late Samuel Myers.

Born in Willow Grove, she was a daughter of the late Cressman and Ella (Bauer) Garner.

Lillian was a registered nurse, graduating from the Grand View School of Nursing in 1953, and then joined the U.S. Navy, serving at the Norfolk Naval Base and then the Philadelphia Naval Hospital.

She then spent nearly 20 years in missions serving in Malaysia and Singapore. After returning to the U.S. and taking some time to raise her family, she worked about five years at Greenleaf Nursing Home in Doylestown, before retiring around 1984.

In her younger years she enjoyed reading, gardening, and attending dances at the Generations senior center in Souderton, but she enjoyed her family most of all.

She is survived by a son, John Nyce and his wife, Rose, of Levittown, a daughter, Sue Anne Rush and her husband, J. Mark, of Bedminster Township, a stepson, Barry Myers of Florida, a stepdaughter, Cheryl Mitchel of Sellersville; four grandchildren, four stepgrandchildren, three stepgreat-grandchildren; two sisters, Jean Siwert and her husband, Arnold of Bedminister, and Mary Brady and her husband, Walter, of Florida; a brother, Cressman Garner Jr. and his wife, Martha, also of Florida; and her first husband, Ray B. Nyce of Telford.

Family will receive friends from 10 to 11:15 a.m. Thursday, March 31, in the Sadler-Suess Funeral Home, 33 N. Main St., Telford. Interment will follow in the Deep Run Mennonite East Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Grand View Health Foundation, P.O. Box 902, Sellersville, PA 18960. Sadler-Suess Funeral Home,
