You indicated and mentioned cracking the "passenger side window", but what you're asking about is the tool used to remove the windshield. I would contact a local auto glass company in your area, they are trained to remove the windshield glass.

I recently cracked the window on the passenger side. I am looking to get it replaced as soon as possible. I was just curious to know how they replace it and switch it out. This picture shows they use a black metal thing to separate it from the car frame.http://www.citywideautoglass.com
