One of the first good pieces of info on the , at the time 3 year old National trail. It wasn't untill 19992 that the trail was finally complete. Now days washouts around Glacier Peak Wildness have all but closed a 30 mile section in Washington. Folks in office today won't evn fork out a nickel to rebuilt it. William O Douglas would turn in his grave to see how our Government as turned it's backs on our Parks and Wilderness Areas With Respect to funding..... Same going for Henry Jackson....
