San Gabriel River, East Fork
This bridge was built in 1936 as part of an attempt to connect Asuza up to the Angeles Crest Highway. A series of storms washed out the road, and the project was abandoned, but the bridge still remains. This was the first of three attempts to reach the ridge; the third succeeded after a fashion, but even that road has been closed due to washouts for over thirty years.
