TWO-TOED SLOTH (Choleopus hoffmanni)

Naples Zoo

Sloths are the world's slowest-moving mammals - so sedentary that algae grows on their furry coat. Algae give them a greenish tint, which is useful camouflage in the trees of their Central and South American rain forest home. There are both two-toed and three-toed sloths.
