This time, wanting to try something different, I stayed at the Strand Hotel in Bencoolen Street. It is OK but I didn't fall in love with it. The location, however, is excellent, and the hotel is directly opposite a large 7-11 store and Kopitiam, a large hawker centre, where I've eaten a couple of times.
