Next day I went to the rural town of Pekan (pronounced Pek-arn), 50km south, the state capital of Pahang until 1898. Among its attractions is this museum in the former British Resident's house c. 1920s. Alas it was closed for no discernible reason other than being a Monday during Ramadan.
