This wooden statue of Arhat Pindola (one of 16 Arhats - buddhist saints) is situated outside the main hall of Todai-ji in Nara. It is said that if you touch one part of the statue and then rub the respective part of the own body, deseases of that part of the body will be cured. But even aside of such effects, this statue is truely impressive.
