Kathy,
Wow! This is breath taking. I am going to have to look up Cat's tutorial. I look at this beautiful painting know it's pine needles but your use of color and technique make me stop and look at the needles on top. For a minute they look like birds or butterflies who have adapted their color to blend in with the natural foliage. It's really awesome.

This must be seen in the "original" size. It's so beautiful it takes my breath away, Kathy, and I'm honored that you used my tutorial! How wonderful that we can inspire each other and have become such an encouraging, cohesive family of artists. You may have used a limited color palette, but there's nothing limited about your talent, your generous heart, or your beautiful spirit.

I wish the non-Painter Talk folks who visit your gallery could see the steps you took to develop this incredible, intelligent, beautiful piece of art. Cat's tutorial is surely awesome, and your rendition of it just takes my breath away......love, absolutely LOVE, your use of subtle colors in your limited palette as well as the brushes you used. And all the design principles are there. Another great one, Kathy!
