I still can't see it either but no need to explain it to us Art...I think we love puzzling shots, it makes them even more fun!! I still just love this one. I like it in color, the brown tones with that little stipe of green just add to it for me.

The fire escape is level with the shadow of the gutter, and blends right in with it. The railing on the platform stands out nicely, the one on the ladder is right in front of the gutter, visible below the window AC. BTW, I did try this as B&W, but couldn't get the detail of the wall to show up to my liking...

Puzzles, puzzles. I think this one will get Me a headache. Maybe the shadow comes from above, not visible in the picture fire escapes.
Good catch.

just looked at the original - I *still* can't see where the shadows come from :-)

Strange, I can get the shadow to fit with anything, the subtle colour and texture of the backdrop adds to it as well. great catch, indeed a fortuitous wrong turn!

Nice shadows. Would have liked to see it more from the bottome though. Cheers.

This was actually the result of a fortuitous wrong turn... At the end of my treck thru 'the big city', I took a side street hoping to save a block or two and wound uo in the parking lot of the Elks lodge... saw this and just stopped short! Sometimes you just get lucky :)

This is definately one of my favorite entries so far. I love the shadows of the fire escape and yet I just don't see the real thing there. Love everything about it.
