I also agree that this image is 'musical.' I can imagine notes appearing if we follow the steps to the right. I like it a lot. Stefan

I like the contrast between the spiral and the straight lines in the stairs. A great comp. endika

I love the swirly shape at the ends! David is right, it does look very musical. I like this angle of the rail better then the one looking up toward the church. I wonder when it was new if kids wanted to slide downn it. I'm sure I would have tried!

Really well done. The shape reminds me of the musical notation, bass clef.

Interesting detail. I love the tone of the stone and railings. It's a pity you couldn't avoid this grass in the corner. composition is good too.

Now thats the sort of railings small boys get limbs stuck in!
Taken from a great angle to offset the curve of the rail by the angle of the steps, nioce stuff.

A little history on the old first church:http://town.huntington.ny.us/permit_pics/216.pdf
At some point, the grade of the road (and sidewalk) changed, and the 5 steps were added in front of the building. The railings (one on either side of the doorway) were added a little later, I think

Nice detail in both composition and history. Cheers.

Ops, I should not stay up till 2AM anymore, I begin to lose my mind . Tennessee was first named Franklin, not Jackson

Very nice I posted a similar but conciderably new rail some time ago. I like your better.
Note: Our Presbyterian Curch was built in 1785 Dandridge, Jackson. It was the first church buit in Jefferson county in the state of Jackson ;o)....the state of Tennessee was first named Jackson, after Andrew Jackson.
