Moon Boy framed by Delicate Arch's moonlight shadow

Arches National Park (Moab, Utah) view map

The almost-full Moon was bright---I neede no headlamp to get around.

The 18mm lens setting used here makes me appear to be farther away from the camera than I was. The distance was about 50 feet (16m), which is about the operating limit of the camera's infrared remote control.

Joe Tripod, who held my camera for this long exposure, has no operating limit. He works equally well under all conditions.

How did I miss this one before? I love it...I hope it was a full moon otherwise that could be an interesting climb around that area! LOL Big Vote

You're fortunate Joe Tripod can hold the camera steady for 34 seconds ... must be great to have a silent partner like that

Leaning against the rock made it fairly easy. In another picture I had nothing to lean against:http://www.pbase.com/listorama/image/86338510 .

Wow! ...you can stand still for 34 seconds!
