I wish i could do some poetry as well.. what i see it's a beautiful shot, with great tones of gray and a silent and calm mood.. very well composed.. and i love it, O* vote*

So stark! An indictment of man's ill-treatment of the natural world - not only devoid of vegetation but now also losing the earth itself by erosion as told by the depth of exposed roots around the tree base. A strong image. ~V~
It's like the set for an early Bergman movie, so stark and beautiful. It seems like a good place to go to be alone with oneself. Balancing the tree stumps, sand and sky has delivered a solid composition. I can't help feeling that the upward reaching branches of the nearer tree are actively grasping for something, unaware that there is nothing there to be grasped.
The image is bit melancholy in the soul satisfying way that Blues music can sometimes be.
