This shot was taken in Todaiji, a big temple in Nara (actually, the biggest building in the world solely constructed of wood), which houses the Daibutsu (a huge bronze statue of Buddha). This hole in one of the poles of the temple is said to have exactly the same size as the nosehole of the Buddha and climbing through it is said to bring good luck.
