I love the plaid look you got in this photo too. I had the hardest time (at first) because I kept seeing windows behind scaffolding (not sure I spelled that right lol). I couldn't figure out why there was so much of it! Then in the reflections I finally saw the ribbed unmistakable rebar. I really like this Miro, and it's right on theme!

Thanks boys! Brent is right here. My intention was to "cower" real structure of the iron net and show it in the reflection in water. This way, you can recognise what it is and it not looks so unpleasant.
Brent! You made Me blush with that knowledge compliment :-)). The best one I get. Thank you for that.

Interesting. Colin and Marcs comments suggest the way the photo would traditionally be taken. Probably how I would take it as well. Knowing that Miro is a knowledgable photographer makes you wonder at the presentation.

Normally the rusted iron work would have a very rough, rusty texture. But the soft DOF gives it that feel like a plaid on cotton. The contrasting sharpness of the shadow creates a tension as it tries to force its way forward. Some very creative elements going on here, Miro. Interesting to see how the technique - "develops". - brent

I agree with the depth of field. Just a notch up.

A dynamic composition for this, lots of layers too.
I would like to see the rebar in focus too, but maybe thats not possible
