We had worried that Angus would get tired on any longer hikes we might take on this trip since he is almost 15 years old. Kelly made a sling to carry Angus if he got too tired. We tried it out here for the first time. The walk was not really long, but was long enough and the heat was not helping, so Angus was looking pretty tired by the end of the trail. We used the sling on the return trip along the top of the crack. Amazingly enough, he seemed to like being carried in it. I didn't think he would, but he seemed OK with it.
