This is my first Arizona Wild Desert Turtle! And, as is the case with many of my sightings,
I saw him as I drove down the dirt road away from work. I'm told this is an Ornate Box Turtle...
I'm not sure. Anyway, I got out of the car to move him to the other side of the road in the
direction he was heading. Everytime I attempted to pick him up at the middle sections of the base
of his shell he sort of "jumped" and turned. Being absolutely not turtle familiar, I gave up and
took his picture instead.
