Magpie Goose

Anseranus Semipalmata

One of the dozen or so Magpie Geese that have recently arrived at our local wetlands in Brisbane. This is the first time we have seen them here. I am watching keenly to see if they will nest and produce some goslings.

What a cool bird. It's a very unique goose unlike anything I've ever seen. I hope they do nest & you'll be able to share photos of their families.
