Exercise 1. Illustrating an Idiom I chose "It's raining Cats & Dogs" I downloaded a photo of an umbrella, opened and copied to a layer, used magic brush to select background and delete, paint bucket tool to change umbrella color(touched up with brush and burn) opened photo of rain texture I had on file, layered under umbrella photo, added layer above umbrella and used shape tool for dogs, cats and flowers on umbrella. Used brush tool to draw rain drops. I had left orginal photo of umbrella as background so blue showed through my rain texture layer. Added inch canvas, color green and typed wording around canvas border. Fun and quick project.
