I know I have said it at least a thousand times, and will most likely say it a thousand times more before my boys are grown, but. I love having boys. It's great, it's fantastic. I am experiencing things that, if I had girls, I doubt I would enjoy. Bugs are no longer a big deal in this house. Infact, we have neighbors that have called us up in the past, to ask if we were interested in their newly dead scorpion. Today, we took a dead wasp from the other neighbors yard. Yep, we are different.
It would only stand to reason that since we are different, we would have different plants. We have a pitcher plant, and now Audrey, the venus flytrap, both carnivorous. There are other plants, we have discovered, that we would like to get, once we make sure we can keep these two alive for more than a year. So far, so good, but winter is coming.
I am curious to see how large these can grow. We have seen a few plants in our local swamp, but unsure as to how large they grow in 'captivity'. It will be interesting, that is for sure. I know that having the young Entomologist on our side, there will be no shortage of food for these two plants.
Wish us luck. ;-)
