September 7, 2007 - Moonflower (I think)

The beat goes on (or perhaps the heat goes on) with sunny skies and temps in the mid 90's. Most green things are getting brown outside, but I did find this one in a shaded area. The sun hadn't done much damage to it yet.

I should have added that the flower has to be ingested in order to cause hallucinations. I believe the Shamans make a sort of tincture which includes parts of the flower, along with some sort of liquid.

This is an Angel's Trumpet, or more commonly called Moonflower. It is used by the Shamans in the rain forests as part of their rituals, and can cause hallucinations.
