These birds seemed to trust their camouflage coloured plumage, as they did let me come within photographing distance.
Closer to human habitats they never let me approach them as they are very wary birds. Wisely so as Hazel Grouse
is regarded to have the best tasting meat of all wild animals. They have nothing to fear from me though, as I'm a vegetarian!
