Looking across the Cowlitz, muddy fork and clear fork have joined just up stream?, you can see the snow capped Goat Rocks. Below that is Packwood Lake, and between is the site of the Lost Lake lookout. The town of Packwood is behind this ridge on the Cowlitz River. Mt Adams is in the clouds (not certain it is on this shot or off the frame to the right.

The Goat Rocks were once as high as Mt Rainier. Now all that remains is the inner core or part of one side, I forget which, may have heard both at one time.
