Advice for a newbie: Your camera can't take pictures without you, you can't take pictures without your camera - therefore, in photography, you and your camera are one. "Would have, could have, should have"...I've seen hundreds of photos of place that I have been and said 'I would have taken that shot from this angle, He should have waited til the sun was lower, she could have blah, blah, blah" The fact of the matter is that he/she has the shot and I don't because they had their camera with them and I didn't. Photography is dead simple: there are a million killer photos out there every day, all that you have to do is go out, stand in front of those great shots and press the shutter. All of the rules, tips, guidelines and discoveries will be of no value if you don't obey Eddy Vortex's first rule of photography (read sentence #1 again): YOU GOTTA BE THERE!!!
