Three NYPD officers take a coffee break at the Trump Tower’s Starbucks in mid Manhattan. Starbucks coffee is significantly more expensive than coffee available at an ordinary coffee shop. The photographer has been on ride alongs with officers during which free coffee was provided by local coffee shops, but this did not happen here. Always a good opportunity to discuss whether getting free food or other amenities are a routine part of police patrol in that city. Typically these practices are frowned upon by police management and considered a minor form of police corruption.
