This shot was taken primarily to demonstrate that the little Panasonic FZ7
can capture constellations, even under adverse situations. Minimal noise
reduction was done in post processing.

The photo was taken with the bright, full moon over my shoulder at about 2 am. It's a shot of the eastern sky and despite the clouds, you can make out a tiny constellation on the upper right (Delphinus, the Dolphin perhaps?).
With more favorable conditions, including a moonless and cloudless night, reduced light pollution
and fewer mosquitoes than I had plaguing me this evening, you can capture constellations with a
compact digital camera.
