Step 3 - Color Control Point

Adjustment 2 via Color Control Points (read NX releases to see how this, especially "U-Point" technology works). My objective was to remove the bright area on the left center by blending it in more naturally with its surroundings. Bright areas distract. I didn't try to get the blend exact since I knew that subsequent steps would "cover" the problem if I got it close to correct at this stage.

This completed the NX portion of the adjustments. I now had an image with balanced tonal ranges, reasonable shadow/highlight detail and minimal tonal distractions. The color and sharpening are fine as is for purposes of my vision of the final target. Ready for image *enhancements*, or as jude would say "mucking around in PS" or CEP in this case.
