Isn't she pretty? Mrs. Anole, that is what I am going to call her. (I know she is a female since she doesn't have a dewlap) She was enjoying time on our screened porch. Mrs. Anole is a mother,most likely of boys. (notice her wrinkles, they just look like scales) She was only trying to escape the chaos of her house, by enjoying quiet time on my porch. Our screened porch is my favorite place to regroup, I am sure the word has traveled thru our backyard. I mean, she isn't the only non-human to have been "caught" out there. Birds, raccoons,possum, stray cats, dogs, you name it, they know about "The Porch".

Can you imagine how she must have felt to be picked up, and then, of all things PHOTOGRAPHED! I mean, as beautiful as she was to me, I'm sure she wasn't at her best. How many moms do you know that can be photographed at the drop of a hat? Maybe I should have offered her a glass of iced tea and two Tylenol instead......
