Saddleback Caterpillar

This has got to be the strangest caterpillar I have ever seen. They claim it to be poisonous .... much like a bee sting .... I'm not going to test it !!

I wonder what the butterfly looks like? This is the strangest looking critter I've seen in a long time, and I'm not sure I want to see one in person...8^)

This is really coo1 - very unusual markings. I bet it is just poisonous to birds or critters who may want to munch on it for dinner.
