A much younger yours truely flying over Mt. St.Helens the first day it erupted. We thought we had missed the whole thing because it had quit erupting by the time we could get there. This was about one hour after the first visible eruption four days prior to the more famous eruption. I am going to try to get my slides converted to better pictures.
