I have seen many Pikas while climbing 14ers, but usually they don't stick around long enough for me to get my camera out. This one seemed as interested in us as we were in it. It had a mouth full of grass which indicates it is starting to prepare for winter. Pikas don't hibernate, they live under the snowpack and stay warm and fed from a stockpile of dried grass.
