An image representing the cycles of life and the vagaries of fate. Splendid capture!

great catch!!!!!!
Guest 22-Aug-2007 11:49
That is one cool bird, motionless while the fish is fighting for its life. Great shot!
John Guest 21-Aug-2007 23:06
Janet has not been telling us that she has a pet Heron LOL. Just kidding this is a great shot. I can almost echo everything that has been said. Good job.
Guest 21-Aug-2007 11:49
Terrific, the water droplets and sense of motion in the fish tail really add something
to this shot!

Very nice! Great sense of action.

The Great Escape?? - I think not! Superb capture...

Another great catch Janet. What kind of fish is it eating?
Sandee Morris21-Aug-2007 01:42
I think it's a perfect shot!
Guest 21-Aug-2007 00:05
love it love it love it
CJ Morgan20-Aug-2007 21:24
Yes, a good shot -- there is stillness and crispness to
it, while at the same time having the element of blur
which well conveys the sense of motion. So a most
excellent contrast of relationship between bird and fish.

Great shot! I love the movement....
Guest 20-Aug-2007 20:52
A thoroughly engaging image - makes you wonder: "What happened next?"
J Bryan Kramer20-Aug-2007 19:55
I agree the motion blur makes the shot more interesting

Super Janet - I think the splashes add to the photo!
This allows us a view into Heron Life, which make it very special!

I think this is wonderful! Like Gary I love the splashes of water.
Gary Martin20-Aug-2007 19:40
The splashes are great (as is the shot itself)
